About FBGA

The Floyd Bennett Gardens Association, Inc. is a 501c3 not for profit community garden located in Floyd Bennett Field. FBGA is open to all residents of NYC regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation or disability. Garden plots are assigned on a first come first serve basis based on the postmarked date of the application. A waiting list is maintained and applicants are contacted when there is a spot available. Only one plot per family may be assigned in any year.

FBGA is run by a volunteer Board of Directors and 5 elected positions (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, and Corresponding Secretary) for a 2 year term.

FBGA is governed by By-laws and Rules and regulations. Gardeners must follow all rules and regulations or they will lose the right to garden at FBGA. Garden spots are assigned on a yearly basis. A gardener in good standing may renew their membership in FBGA and keep the same spot.

FBGA membership requires a payment of $50.00 per year plus 8 hours of community service.

If you are interested in a space at FBGA, please fill out the New Gardener Application and mail it to the address at the top of the form.
